Oil accidents anf theis effect on water quality.
Lebdušková, Helena ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Tonika, Jaroslav (referee)
The basic aim of the thesis is descritpion of oil accidents, which are these days the normal part of our lives. I deal with the issue of oil extraction as a base material for petrol, oil and other oil-based products. The current methods of production make these accidents impossible to avoid. The biggest problems come from using large tankers to transport the oil, other problems bring oil processing and waste production. This thesis focuses on the assessment of oil accidents and their effects on water quality, as well as on the whole ecosystem. Keywords Oil, oil accident, water pollution
Crushes and theirs effect on water quality
Uhrová, Adéla ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Tonika, Jaroslav (referee)
This thesis is focused on accidents in water and their their division into groups according to different factors. Work detailing the chemical accidents resulting in pollution of surface and groundwater, which became the Czech Republic since 2000. Describes chemicals that often escape into the water and damage to their quality. Furthermore, there is described an accident in 2006, when form "Lučební závody Draslovka, Kolín" leaked into the Elbe dangerous cyanide. Key words: Accidents, water pollution

Zhodnocení stavu Knínického potoka z hlediska znečištění fosforečnany
Králík, Tomáš
This bachelor thesis Condition assessment of the stream Knínický potok in terms of phosphate pollution occupies with monitoring of water pollution in the stream Knínický potok which was carried out from April 2015 to march 2017. The monitored factors were total phosphorus, phosphates, pH, conductivity, dissolved oxygen and tempera-ture. The theoretical part outlines the problematics of different water types, water pollution especially phosphorus pollution and the related legislation. The practical part describes the profiles selected for water sampling, methodology of both fieldwork and laboratory work and also the characteristics of the area. The essential part are the measurement results with commentary, evaluated and compared to the provision of government 401/2015 Sb, in an effective version and to the ČSN 75 7221. According to the results, the main source of pollution is water drained from the wastewater treatment plant. Parameter with the worst measured results was total nitrogen, which has reached extremely high above the NEK limit.
Studie změny jakosti vody na Zbýšovském náhonu
Gernešová, Lucie
This bachelor thesis is focused on monitoring of water quality in Zbýšovský náhon. In the theoretical part of this thesis the literature review of given topic is processed. The practical part describes the characteristic of stream, area of interest description, methods of work in terrain and in laboratory, results, discussion and proposal of possible measures. Terrain measurements and samplings were carry out continuously from December 2015 to December 2016 for five selected consumption profiles. Indicators of conductivity, dissolved oxygen, pH and temperature of the water were monitored monthly in terrain. Each three month the samplings of water were carry out from streams and then analyzed in laboratory where the determination of total phosphorus, nitrate nitrogen and chemical oxygen demand were determined. Determination of samplings was analyzed in laboratory of Department of Applied and Landscape Ecology. Selected indicators at the beginning of the measurements shows elevated levels and impaired quality of water, but regular monitoring of indicators shows that there was reduction of values and improvement of water quality when the citizens start to connected to canalization. The results were evaluated and compared with CSN 75 7221 and Government Regulation No. 401/2015 Coll.
Studie možných zdrojů znečištění na vybraném úseku vodního toku Račický v obci Odunec
Dobrovolný, Michal
The bachelor’s thesis with the theme of „Study of possible sources of pollution in the selected part of the watercourse“ deals with possible sources of pollution of the selected part of Račický potok. The theoretical part treats the characteristics of surface water and their preservation including valid legislation. After that there are described the ways of surface water pollution including particular elements and substances, which contaminate water. The practical part deals with collecting of the individual samples in selected collection points and their laboratory analysis. As the magnitudes for the analysis were selected: the amount of oxygen dissolved in water, electrolytic conductivity, the reaction of pH in the water, nitrate nitrogen, nitrite nitrogen, total phosphorus. In another chapters the results are interpreted and discussed with the valid legislation. The evaluation of the analysis shows a deterioration of the quality of the water, which is in Odunec caused by releasing the sewage water right into the watercourse and the absence of phosphorus precipitation in ČOV Krhov. In the conclusion there are suggested possible steps for improvement of the water quality in the selected area.
Water quality development in Mladoticky Brook catchment area
Vacková, Zuzana ; Janský, Bohumír (advisor) ; Benešová, Libuše (referee)
Water quality was one of the biggest problems of environment in beginning of 90. of 20th century in the Czech republic. Since 90. the level of water quality was in czech rivers rapidly better. Mainly in big rivers have accomplished great changes. The small rivers haven't notice that rapid changes. The Czech republic, after entrance to the European Union have committed to comply with Directive 91/271/EEC reduce urban waste water and which should have big influence to water quality also in small rivers. During 90. industry technology, agriculture, cleaning technology of waste water etc. reached big development. Therefore the presumption is higher quality of water in the Czech republic since 90. Goal of the thesis is comparison of results from 1999-2000 with results from 2012- 2014 from Mladoticky brook catchment, which is lined up to small river catchments (79,77km2 ). From this comparison there is obvious trend, if conditions of the water quality are really better or not since 90. [33] Since 2012 to 2014 were taken 12 times samples from 11 profiles of water from Mladotice brook catchment and they were consequential chemically analyzed. The samples were evaluated according to ČSN 757221 and compared with results from 1999-2000. From comparison with data 1999-2000 and 2012-2014 was confirmed the...
Water quality in Prague streams
Krejčová, Lucie ; Benešová, Libuše (advisor) ; Tonika, Jaroslav (referee)
This work deals with water quality in five Prague's biggest streams, which are Rokytka, Botič, Litovicko-Šárecký stream, Dalejský stream and Kunratický stream. Water quality can be evaluated on the basis of physico-chemical indicators or biological indicators. In my work I use only physico-chemical indicators to evaluate water quality. In this work I focused mainly on water quality in Kunratický stream which is based on the results of regular monitoring of Lesy hl. m. Praha and also on the basis of my short-term analysis of water from the stream. The main sources of pollution of Kunraticky stream and other streams in Prague are agriculture in the upstream area (source of nitrogen and phosphorus compounds), wastewater (source of organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus compounds) and rainwater (source of heavy metals and chlorides). It is evident from the results that these resources have an impact on water quality in streams of Prague. Among the worst indicators of water quality in the Kunratický stream there is mainly aggregate phosphorus, COD and BOD5 and it is similar in other Prague's streams. Prague streams are significantly burdened with heavy metals.
